Jenna Delgado

Hello! My name is Jenna Delgado and I am a Multimedia Journalist/Reporter for KLTV 7. I obtained my BA in Communications and Media Studies from the College of Arts and Letters at the University of Tampa located in Tampa, Florida. During my college years, I was an Emma Bowen Fellow at Fox13 Tampa Bay, an Intern for WFLA News Channel 8 and an Intern for La Gaceta Newspaper. I also worked as a Freelance Reporter for Tampa Bay Business and Wealth Magazine, a Multimedia Journalist for Jet Set Pets, a Radio Producer for Genesis Communications and Reporter/On-Air Talent for Speckled Spaniel Media. Working in numerous fast-paced newsrooms and learning how to become a creative storyteller has prepared me for my new chapter with KLTV. I strive to be a community participant to become the voice for all East Texans who want to get their story on the news. I cover anything from people making a difference to local businesses doing something unique. I'm dedicated to producing fair and engaging journalism that connects, informs and reflects the communities around us.

As a UTampa student, I was an active sister of the Sigma Delta Tau Gamma Pi Chapter. I was a part of a sisterhood that values strength in individuality, connection with one another, engagement and enriching the community through our three philantropies; Prevent Child Abuse America, Jewish Women International and The SDT Foundation. I held a leadership role on the chair board titled Health and Intramurals. I planned sporting, physical and mental health events while also managing the chapter's wellness Instagram. During my freshman year I was on the hiphop dance team UT Unified Dance Crew.

Outside of my career, fitness is a large priority in my life. I weightlift, practice yoga, do Pilates and go on outdoor nature walks. My physical wellness contributes to the dedicated person that I am today. I also love to read novels and tan in the sun. I thrive on social connections with others and I try to be the best version of myself by spreading positivity.
