Katie Parker

Katie Parker returns to her hometown area of East Texas as a reporter and anchor. She graduated from the University of Arkansas with a bachelor's in broadcast journalism and a master's in journalism. Her time in Fayetteville was spent working as the Sports Director for the campus news station, interning with a sports production company named HogsPlus and hosting a weekly sports specialty show: The Sports Advantage.

Recently, Katie was a digital content producer for Bobby Bones where she worked closely with him for social media projects along with his sports shows: 25 Whistles and Too Much Access.

With HogsPlus, Katie was part of an Emmy Award winning team in the best one-time sports special category for a documentary following the 1998 Razorback women's basketball team.

She has also been named 2nd in the country for on-air sports talent by the Broadcast Education Association and was named 2025's Regional Outstanding Sports Anchor by the Society of Professional Journalists.

For her master's thesis, she created a 50-minute documentary following the athletic careers and identity of Joe Kleine, Scotty Thurman, and Sidney Moncrief.

Some fun facts about Katie are that she traveled Europe solo for several months, wants to be an author one day and her favorite place in the whole world is the Grand Ole Opry.
